Sometimes customs take a while to make for various reasons such as not having the parts you want to use, running out of the paint you like, not having time to work on it, being too lazy to work on it, or flat-out screwing it up.

This was not one of those customs. In fact, the scenario for Kurt Angle was just the opposite...despite running into most of the delays listed above.

Despite breaking the DS3 Test torso I planned to use, running out of the Citadel paint I love so dearly and is no longer sold in any local stores, not having the TTL 3 Jericho head I wanted to use, and then changing the head to a Hasbro British Bulldog head after the Y2J head turned out looking WAY too much like Ben Affleck, I somehow finished this Kurt Angle in about three days of solid sweat shop-like work...except for the tatoo, that is. The figure was done for a week before I found a decent picture of his tatoo.

The parts I used for your Olympic hero were a Hasbro British Bulldog head (as previously mentioned), Billy Gunn torso, DS3 Test arms, and DS4 Billy Gunn legs & knee pads.

The face of a true champion. The whole "Ben Affleck screw-up" turned out to be a blessing in disguise. The Bulldog head worked great. It really has that strong Kurt Angle jawline missing from the often-used Jericho head...and it's a dead-ringer for the expression he has on the cover of July's issue of WWF magazine. It's true! It's true!
